So someone thought the best way to fix this pressure plate was to braze in a course thread square nut, off center on top of that. My attempt at using a propane torch to loosen its golden grip failed quite terribly. We even tried adding oxygen to the mix from our oxy acetylene set up that was out of acetylene and that didn't work. I ended up ordering a billet plate for thirty bucks and tossed the old one in my "to fix in case of feeling cheap pile." Old bikes with a billion previous owners rule.
